Editorial: Reducing overuse of CT imaging in pediatric trauma: a model example of the Model for Improvement.

Question and Methods: The aim  of this QI project was to reduce unnecessary CT abdomen on pediatric trauma activations who were identified as being low risk of IAI.
Findings: significant reduction in overall imaging rates, reflecting reduction in low risk patients, from 51.0% to 29.7%. The absolute reduction for this outcome is 21.3
Limitations: Did not specify exact stakeholders (such as which allied health professionals, families etc)

Interpretation: Pediatric trauma is rare at TOH and we are less familiar with relevant CDR. We would urgently consult pediatric TTL or defer to CT.
