November marked the 20th anniversary of the passage of the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act (PL 106-430) into law. The act required that OSHA amend its Bloodborne Pathogens Standard to include additional protections for workers to prevent occupational exposures to blood and body fluids.

Here is an annotated still, showing the RCA which bifurcates into the PDA (indicating a right dominant system) and posterolateral (called "PL") branch. You can identify LAO because the heart is in front of or to the left of the spine. There is diffuse disease throughout the RCA with a severe focal lesion at the red arrow.

She was found to have 100% occlusion of the mid RCA(culprit lesion), which gave rise to acute marginal, PDA and PL branches(which explains the posterior involvement). The following morning on rounds the ECGs were noted and the patient eventually underwent cardiac catheterization (>18 hrs after later!) She had a very large troponin leak.
